Holiday Review

Well it was a great holiday. I ended up not being able to post in the last few days its hard to type whilst cycling!
The quiet end we planned when we got back got messed up so I am just puting a quick note now.
I realised with three days to go I was unlikely to hit the 1,000 mile target and then the penultimate night realised I would get to 975 and HAD to find the last 25, as otherwise ina few years time I would be trying again to get this foolishly high target in two weeks. Ended up on the final day completing an extended ride with 90 minutes to get ready for the final time trial. Very unlikely to go better, A quick shower and fettle of the bike and I had to get out and prepare.
The time trial course is 14.8 KM straight up the hill to Tinajo and back again. With the wind it was going to feel like up hill all the time. Amazingly I finished 25 seconds better than the first weeks effort and a massive 85 seconds quicker than last year and that after riding 120Km through the day to get the magic 1,000!

So: 1,006 miles yeah!!! I think its downhill in terms of performance from here. But as Cookey says "Shoot for the Moon, and if you miss you'll still reach the stars"

I'll try and do a proper update in the enxt few days.....
